Day 4 of GIU - Something Wicked

Good morning everyone, and welcome to Day 4 of my Growing in Unity week! I'm the Growing in Unity gal this week over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog, which means I'll be sharing a project created with my Unity stamps with you every day. I invite you to come back each day and leave a comment for a chance to be one of the (2) lucky people to win a bag of (25) Unity stamps! Woohoo! If you're new to my blog, I'd love it if you became a follower and join in the fun over on the Caffeinated Papercuts Facebook page or followed Caffeinated Papercuts on Instagram. :)

Just to let you know, I am reading every last comment you guys are leaving me. Thank you for all of your kind words and stories! In order to not mess up the winner selection I simply cannot reply to each one hence my silence. I do hope each of you will stick around when the week is done - I love having you here! :) Welcome to all of my new followers and to answer the Pocket Letter question, you send the whole letter - 9 little 'cards' tucked into a trading card sleeve page. It is so much fun!

I am certainly still on my coloring kick, though today it's Halloween in June! I really wanted to use my fluorescent colors and Hazel's tights were just perfect for them. I made my own background again, but this time with a stencil and glossy transparent embossing paste.

FYI, it had been long enough since I used it last that I forgot how much this stuff smells. :/ This is only a trait of the transparent paste it seems, but phew! The results are pretty amazing, though.

Instant shine and texture...once it dries. I hate waiting for things to dry. Ah well, while I did I cut down some Smoke cardstock into a top-folding A2 card and stamped up a shimmery pink banner for Hazel's included sentiment. Fun foam under my texture piece once it was dry for even height, then adhesive for the banner and foam tape for my girl. The result is pretty darn cool:

This witch is ready to party! It's very hard to see in photos, but there's clear Wink of Stella on the heart, orange petticoat, and the eyes & mouth of the pumpkin. The embossing paste turned out wonderful on this card.

See all the layers? Soooo much more fun that way.
