Adornit and MPC Art Play Blog Hop

Good morning everyone - welcome to my stop on the Mountain Plains Crafters & Adornit blog hop! You should be arriving here from my dear Pam's blog. If you stumbled in here by accident this chilly October morn, you can see what all the fuss is about on the Adornit page.

I have to tell you, these ArtPlay 12x12 pages are so much fun! If you've never held one before, they're made of super thick watercolor paper and work beautifully with every medium I threw at them. Of course, I made the 'mistake' of bringing them to my weekly scrapbooking group and had to keep stealing them back!! LOL

In the end I created four different projects using Spectrum Noirs, Copics, Distress Markers, and Koi Watercolors. Since there are four artists who designed for this release, I couldn't resist using one from each of their sets. I cannot wait to color some more of these bad boys!

Gift bag with birthday gift tag made from the Be Yourself ArtPlay Paintable
Make a Wish: Koi Watercolors, Glossy Accents, Pearl Liquid Pearls, brown cardstock for a backer, twine, Lawn Fawn treat bag die

Greeting Card using the Take Flight ArtPlay Paintable

SU paper for card base, MME Indie Chic-Saffron for layers, colored with Distress Markers and Wink of Stella

Greeting card/frame-able piece made with the Pray ArtPlay Paintable

DCWV Vintage Collector card base, blue cardstock, Koi Watercolors, Hero Arts bling, foam tape

Upcycled treat bottle with a Rudolph tag made from the Holly Jolly ArtPlay Paintable

Copic markers, Spectrum Noir markers, Wink of Stella, white UniBall gel pen, Glossy Accents, Simon Says Stamp postage stamp die, twine, kraft paper for backer

I just love how these turned out! As you can see, it's no problem to die cut the pieces or add wet things like watercolors and Glossy Accents to them with no warping. And hey, coloring is therapeutic!

Time for me to send you off to Sheryl's blog, but before you go, what's a hop without prizes, right? Here's your clue from me:

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Crafting!

  4. I love all your projects. The flower card especially speaks to me! Your photographs are just awesome. I had difficulty as I chose to photograph on a gray, dreary day here (we usually don't have them!).
