Oh my word, where is the time going?? Between a flurry of work at my day job
(seriously, whomever said that summers were slow and laid-back obviously wasn't an engineer) and my baby sister's wedding in just under 2 weeks, I've barely had a moment to myself to craft lately!
I did manage to go play the other night; if you follow me on
Instagram and/or
Facebook, you may remember I was having fun coloring some of the Tim Holtz blueprint stamps a while back. I didn't have a specific project for them at the time, I just liked the idea of having them ready when I wanted them. Let me tell you, that planning was a great idea! I snagged (6) of the images, sliced them down a bit, and then went to town pairing them up with card bases, patterned paper layers, and embellishments. It was a ton of fun, and in under an hour I had (6) birthday cards ready to go.

Cupcakes with mini sequins |
I decided to keep the cards similar but different, so with each set I used different embellishments. On each card I picked a base card & patterned paper that coordinated with my coloring and popped the image up with my foam tape. For the cupcakes, I added some Pretty Pink Posh 4mm clear sequins (swoon!).

Balloons with wooden stars |
The balloons I tilted slightly to mimic their flight and added some wooden star embellishments from the Pretty Pink Posh Woodland kit.

Party hats with enamel dots |
For the party hats, I tried out my new My Mind's Eye enamel dots; oh my, I might be in love. They're so fun!
I'm giving linking my supplies a try; see the end of the post for a list of what I used!
I promised you a winner as well; from the
Mountain Plains Crafters blog hop
Lynnette Kaufmann is the winner of the Itty Bitty stamp! Lynnette, you've got an email waiting for you. ;)
One last note - the Die Cut Crazy magazine blog hop starts this Friday, August 15th. You won't want to miss it!
Happy Crafting!
