Happy National Coffee Day, my friends! Fall is here and it brought with it cool air, warm coffee, and my baby in kindergarten. Say what?!? That's ok, I'm the mama with the cup of coffee at the bus stop...especially since it comes before 8am. Whimper.
And, AND, the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is in full swing!
You may have already seen the card I created for Super Sponsor a2z Scrapbooking, but I had to make one with my So Suzy Stamps goodies as well. And I was in the mood to get messy...soooo messy...LOL
The card base reminds me of cozy sweaters and I went with fall, jewel tone ink splatters on my background paper. Don't forget the coffee cozy for that hot coffee!
I used Distress Inks and a paintbrush to make my splatters (ahem, gotta love how well the inks clean up off your desk, brushes, stamp packaging, the cat...) and a die set from Top Dog Dies that I won a while back. Gee, wonder why I picked it? LOL And if anyone asks, that's totally pumpkin spice latte in the cup.
The stamps are from So Suzy Stamps and utterly perfect for this card. Ok, and my life in general. Those I heat embossed with the gorgeous Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
It needed a heart, so I colored a heart die cut from the same die set with my Spectrum Noir DR3 marker and added on Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. A few cups of coffee later it was dry and the perfect touch for the card. Oh, and the brown ink splatters? The new Ground Espresso ink, naturally.
Be sure to check out the entire Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop here - there are some amazing creations, and more keep being added!

Happiness is...Coffee and So Suzy Stamps
Hey everyone - it's the first of the month, which means a new challenge at So Suzy Stamps! This month we're showcasing the Happiness is... line of stamps. I love how versatile they are, and I, of course, had to start with my favorites:
Anyone surprised? No? Didn't think so...LOL I created the card background by stamping the Coffee sentiment with the Hero Arts Brown Ombre ink - totally looks like coffee! And on the inside:
After all, the best stories happen when there's coffee involved. ;) I added the Liquid Pearls to tie in my ink colors and to jazz up the ivory cardstock a bit. On the front I heat embossed the Happiness is... in white ink and made a little thread nest. A small scattering of some Glossy Accents and this card was done.
I can't wait to see what you make with the Happiness is... stamps! Be sure to head on over to the So Suzy Stamps blog to see what the rest of the team came up with.

a2z Scrapbooking Shaker Snow Globe
Hey everyone - it's the first of the month, and that means a new challenge over at a2z Scrapbooking. This month it's all about the shake...shake shake shake...shake your cards!
Yes, I dragged out my Fuse tool again; it went a little better this time. I wanted a snow globe as I found an old die set from Memory Box in my stash. The small bottlebrush tree from Family & Friends Christmas set (which is on sale!) fit perfectly in the 3" circle for the globe, so I set about making a shaker globe. I stamped the tree with the fabulous green ombre ink and the stand in the Cup o' Joe (not that you can see much of it with the sequins there).
The brown cardstock was stamped with the beautiful Bold Branches stamp for some interest and tone-on-tone awesomeness and I broke into my stash of metallic paper for the globe base. Popped the whole thing on a green card base and I was done.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the team came up with!
