Good morning everyone, and welcome to Day 1 of my Growing in Unity week! I'm the Growing in Unity gal this week over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog, which means I'll be sharing a project created with my Unity stamps with you every day. I invite you to come back each day and leave a comment for a chance to be one of the (2) lucky people to win a bag of (25) Unity stamps! Woohoo! If you're new to my blog, I'd love it if you became a follower and join in the fun over on the Caffeinated Papercuts Facebook page or followed Caffeinated Papercuts on Instagram. :)
Today I thought it would be fun to share a fun teacher card. With school ending for the summer, what better way to have your kiddos tell their teachers that they appreciate them:
I love the Angie's Girls line, and when she came out with a Jen girl I just had to have her (even if she should be holding a coffee cup...LOL). I stamped her and her chalkboard with Memento black ink then went to town coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers. When I was happy with the look, I fussy-cut them out and started adding details. The 'good luck' on the chalkboard is a separate stamp from Unity I received as part of a grab bag, as is the sentiment heat embossed on black at the bottom.
I created a top-folding, A2 card out of Simon Says Stamp chocolate brown cardstock, then added a piece of school paper from a We R Memory keepers 6x6 pad. I adhered the chalkboard down, then added the teacher with some foam tape for dimension. The sentiment was heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder (my favorite) on some black SSS cardstock and adhered behind her.
I then started adding details; Wink of Stella on the apple and hearts, then Glossy Accents over the top and some Ranger Black Enamel for the heart on the bell.
Thanks for stopping by today! Remember to leave a comment every day this week to better your chances of winning those stamps, and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 2.
Happy Crafting!
