Day 3 of GIU - Dance in the Rain

Good morning everyone, and welcome to Day 3 of my Growing in Unity week! I'm the Growing in Unity gal this week over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog, which means I'll be sharing a project created with my Unity stamps with you every day. I invite you to come back each day and leave a comment for a chance to be one of the (2) lucky people to win a bag of (25) Unity stamps! Woohoo! If you're new to my blog, I'd love it if you became a follower and join in the fun over on the Caffeinated Papercuts Facebook page or followed Caffeinated Papercuts on Instagram. :)

So this is when I realize that I have a theme this week...LOL For today's card I inked up Harmony girl and her matching sentiment, then created some rain with a stencil and my Distress Inks.

Would you believe the stencil is called 'microbial'? I used, top to bottom, Stormy Sky, Broken China, and Milled Lavender. While that dried a little I fussy-cut Harmony out and applied some foam tape to her. My stenciled piece was adhered to some Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock and the sentiment was heat embossed onto some vellum with the beautiful Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I love how she turned out! It's always fun to make your own background to fit the card, and this one turned out just right. I decided the rain needed a little something, so I added rain drops with Glossy Accents.

Just the right amount of texture and shine. I glued on the vellum banner with the Matte Medium from Ranger applied very carefully behind my embossing, so no glue shows up.

Thanks for stopping by today! Remember to leave a comment every day this week to better your chances of winning those stamps, and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 4.

Happy Crafting!
