Happy May! We've had so many fun stamps released so far this year at So Suzy Stamps that we've decided to take a breather and revisit them all. I'll be playing with the March release again, full of pretty flowers and fun sentiments!
I'm enjoying the latest Online Card Class featuring vellum and acetate, so look what I came up with:
A rainbow tulip garden! The entire front panel of the card is vellum which I added a rainbow of dye inks to. Once it was dry(ish) I heat embossed the Tulip Background stamp in white over the top.
A little diecutting and more heat embossing got me the fun strip for the sentiment. I love how pretty the Fancy Happy Birthday looks in gold. There's a matching white strip on the back of the vellum to hide the adhesive.
I left the inside super simple - the Never Grow Up sentiment and Nuvo drops line up with the white cardstock strips so you can't see them when the card is closed.
We do have some new releases today - more Nuvo Drops and a new line of stencils! Woohoo!

Card Book and World Card Making Day
Woohoo, happy World Card Making Day everyone! There are so many fun contests, product releases, and card sketches out there in blog land today; have you been playing along?
I'm here to share my vintage Graphic 45 project for Mountain Plains Crafters today; we're giving away THREE pads of Graphic 45 paper over on our Facebook page. Just 'like' and 'comment' to enter! Believe me, I wish I could win it...
So, I finally finished a card storage book I started, oh, back in March...what, I've been busy! The book measures 6"x6" and is made from folded sheets of the Place in Time paper pad.
Pretty cool, huh? The back & front covers are chipboard covered with some paper from the pad, then topped with one of the tags from the embellishment kit. I added some navy ruffle ribbon from Pretty Pink Posh and a scrap of white shimmer ribbon I had laying around. The flower is from May Arts that I added a chocolate pearl to for the center.
Some clear Wink of Stella finished the tag off, along with my handwriting and a Sharpie. ;)
Inside the book are (2) pages for every month, with pockets for keeping cards in. Now when we make things ahead of time, we have somewhere to put them! Each page also has a tag to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries, and the like.
Some ribbons over the binding finish the whole thing off. How about you; how do you keep track of your cards for those special people?

He Put a Ring on It

Hi there everyone! Just stopping by quickly to post a card for the Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge blog hop. The theme is die cuts this time and I really wanted to get my current work in progress done, but with my baby sister's wedding last weekend that did not happen. So I finished off one I'd started a while ago; can you tell I had wedding on the brain? ;)
I used the Lawn Fawn photo frame die to make the shaker card and tons of the Sweet Stamp Shop sentiments from multiple sets to create the background paper. Links to everything are below - are you liking the new linky tool??
The diamond was stamped on shimmer paper, then decked out with the white Wink of Stella pen and topped with Glossy Accents.
Pink, green, pale yellow, 4mm clear and silver heart PPP sequins were added in and this card was done.

Blueprint Birthday Cards and a Winner!
Oh my word, where is the time going?? Between a flurry of work at my day job (seriously, whomever said that summers were slow and laid-back obviously wasn't an engineer) and my baby sister's wedding in just under 2 weeks, I've barely had a moment to myself to craft lately!
I did manage to go play the other night; if you follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook, you may remember I was having fun coloring some of the Tim Holtz blueprint stamps a while back. I didn't have a specific project for them at the time, I just liked the idea of having them ready when I wanted them. Let me tell you, that planning was a great idea! I snagged (6) of the images, sliced them down a bit, and then went to town pairing them up with card bases, patterned paper layers, and embellishments. It was a ton of fun, and in under an hour I had (6) birthday cards ready to go.
I decided to keep the cards similar but different, so with each set I used different embellishments. On each card I picked a base card & patterned paper that coordinated with my coloring and popped the image up with my foam tape. For the cupcakes, I added some Pretty Pink Posh 4mm clear sequins (swoon!).
The balloons I tilted slightly to mimic their flight and added some wooden star embellishments from the Pretty Pink Posh Woodland kit.
For the party hats, I tried out my new My Mind's Eye enamel dots; oh my, I might be in love. They're so fun!
I'm giving linking my supplies a try; see the end of the post for a list of what I used!
I promised you a winner as well; from the Mountain Plains Crafters blog hop Lynnette Kaufmann is the winner of the Itty Bitty stamp! Lynnette, you've got an email waiting for you. ;)
One last note - the Die Cut Crazy magazine blog hop starts this Friday, August 15th. You won't want to miss it!
